In homage to this great game, I totally redid my German Tech Pack images for AoD.
Grab it here: http://www.filefront.com/15719789/AOD_jbunnelle_GER_TechPack.zip

EDIT: Zip also includes an "alternates" folder so be sure and check that out for some runner-ups and older versions that I still liked but found better examples of elsewhere.

Normally I'd say all pictures should be in color or b&w but for some reason this looks nice as well. Eclectic.

Love to see something like this for other countries as well. Any chance of that happening?

Thanks. Yeah, the color/B&W mix is sort of odd I guess. I think preserving the historicity of the original image is important. I did try to keep it consistent in that the people are all B&W photos, although I did have color ones for several of them.

I have one for Italy from HOI2DD but I haven't checked to see what AoD has added to that tech tree. If there's enough interest posted here, then I might consider tackling the other majors. Hard to tell how much people use these kinds of things. And I know GIP and other things already have a massive foothold. For that reason I usually only do nations that I play a lot. It's a massive time sink to do it right, particularly the correction of aspect ratios and manual image editing to get that right, while preserving the feel of the original.

very nice, esp those old looking stuff like arado or telefunken is something really cool IMO!

if you need other images in colour let me know.

Thanks. The two I had trouble finding period logos for were Lurssen and Kriegsmarinewerft. The Lurssen one is from a book jacket cover, but the latter was tough going. So if you have anything for that, I'd be interested in seeing it. I was excited to find the Blohm & Voss one. Very hard to find any materials pertaining to that firm.

All of the logos were taken from paperwork, ads, instruction manuals, or metal plates (Krupp, Siemens, etc.) from roughly 1935-45.

sorry i only have persons (or just mostly)

see my sig, in that pack is a mauser logo and a rundstedt real photo as TT in colour

as for the other stuff maybe ask Hagar from CORE i think he should have a lot

EDIT: maybe i'll find some shipyards in colour in my collection, i'll post then

best regards,

bm

Thanks, will check.

Just uploaded different MAN logo from an early 1930s grill. There were bolts to either side that were perfect circles in the photo, so the oval shape isn't an aspect ratio issue but the shape of the emblem itself.

The old MAN can be found in the alternate folder now.

Looks nice great work

Excellent use of B&W and old fashion color.

Nice job!
