Being the HoI junkie that I am, I bought Arsenal of Democracy through Gamersgate, and downloaded it just fine.

One thing is, where can I register? When I double-click on the desk icon, the game launches immediately. I go straight to the white screen asking One Player/Multiplayer, the usual loader window proposing registration (and allowing to check for updates) does not appear.

Also, AoD being based on HoI2 and being hailed as an all-moddable game, I expected a Game Editor feature. Is it normal there isn't any? I know you can mod a lot of things directly through the files, but the Game Editor allowed the creation of scenarios which doesn't seem possible here.

I too have yet to see anywhere in the game how to register it.

In Start Menu, in Arsenal of Democracy folder you pick up 'Arsenal of Democracy Settings' then you press "Register Game" button. You put the key from Gamersgate site (its in 'My games') and voila.
You can also just look at the forums here, the menu bar where you get 'My Games/Registrations', pick it up and there find AoD & put its key (the one from Gamersgate/w.e you get the game from).
Not sure if that is the answer you've been looking for...

As for the all-moddable game I was always under the impression its more about the amount of things you can change, not how easy it is for anyone to do it.

The desktop icon is a link to "aodgame.exe" which is the game itself; if you want the launcher its name is "Arsenal.exe" and it's in the same folder.

I hope this helps

Cheers
