Hi!

Yesterday, trying to play MP in our AoI game, we had problems with one player, that couldn't join the game. Last wednesday we already played with 1.8 April new patch and we had any problem, including this player. The only difference for yesterday's session was that everybody put the file which fixes Venice-strait problem.

He tried everything: reinstalling AoI fix to the new patch, reinstaling the new patch, etc.

Finally he noticed that in the upper-left in the main menu, where your EU2 version is set, he had a different one from the rest. He had April version and at the end sometihng like XPUF, while the rest of players had WUMT

What do these letters mean? How can he get same version as the rest?

Thanks in advance

P.S.: don't know if this is the suitable forum to post this thread...

You should probably not have posted it here, as it's not a problem connected to EU2 itself but rather to a mod. Or that is, to a player not installing the patches correctly as I understand it. ;)

Your player here messed up with some part of the installation of either my AoI fix or the latest beta patch - or both. The best solution would be for him to completely reinstall EU2, and then install again in the following steps:

1. EU2 itself
2. EU 1.08
3. The latest EU2 beta patch
4. AoI 2.0
5. AoI 2.4
6. AoI fix for latest beta patch

...and to follow the installation instructions in all instances.

Yes, it should be the best solution, but the point is that he could already play the session before, with all this installed...

Don't you know what the hell XPUF and WUMT are?

P.S.: I know it's more a mod related question, but I've put it here because maybe it's not just an AoI problem but something more general.

I have no ideas what those are, but it's extremely unlikely - bordering the impossible - that this happened all by itself, without him messing something up.

He *must* have installed something new from your last session to this one, and he probably did it wrong as well.

That's what I said, but he assures that, except from the file for Venetian traits (that everybody had put and that only affects to EU2, not AoI), he didn't install nothing... really bizarre...

You guys sure he didn't dump that file in the AoI folder by mistake?

Sure! ;)

Well all MP related questions go in the MP forum.
And as you use a user made mod we do not support them.

Ok, sorry. I was not sure...

Thanks anyway ;)

Just for not openning another thread, I'll use this one in order to explain something that happened yesterday in our AoI MP game.

I haven't been at war for years, and it was for very short and without creating armies. However, I have almost +2 WE what really surprises me...

On the contrary, my allies are at war and I have recently created troops, so it seems to me that I've got the effect as I was at war while creating those troops... Could it be a bug?

You sure it's not just ordinary revoltrisk?

At any rate, if it's a bug - then it's a bug with EU2, not AoI. It's simply not possible to mod WE, you see.

Yes, it's really odd... I'll check for next session, but as you say, it should not be AoI bug but eu2 one...
