Sorry to say because I've seen the same(ish) problem posted here as well as other forums, but my game just won't work with this mod. Like many others, my game either closes itself instantly after I attempt to launch it on steam (this is only on the regular version), or if I load in a previous version (most people suggested 2.1.6 but I tried literally every single version available on steam) it will go to the load screen, I'll hear 2 seconds of music then "CK2.exe has stopped working" displays only for me to cry my tears away. If it's any help, I played it for one day and it worked, then I tried playing it again two days later after installing more mods and the problem started. I initially figured it was the mods, so I uninstalled them, no progress. I have since reinstalled the game multiple times as well as the mod, but no luck. I have delegated myself to playing vanilla CK2 and watching playthroughs of the mod because it's SO DAMN GOOD. Again, apologies because I've seen the same problem posted on everything, but I've tried every single solution they have when it seems to work for them and it's just not working.

I run the installer every time and leave it to the default folder which is my mods folder in my CK documents, but I have also tried using the zip files and manually installing it into the folder.
Alright I'm no expert when it comes to this stuff, but I need to know where exactly you installed the mod. I use to install mods in the wrong place before a while back. But typically you want to install it in <Your Documents>/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mod folder. Now granted this is the correct place to put your mod files once you've extracted it correctly. Do not install it anywhere related to steam whatsoever, it will just crash and cause problems.
Like I said I'm no expert in this field but thats typically where you want to put it, but if you already installed it correctly. Then what version are you currently playing on? try to make sure that everything is on the correct version, otherwise more problems!
I hope this helps somewhat... if not then wait for the new updating patch for the mod, might work out then.

P.S. Make sure that there are no older versions of the mod in the mod folder either. That will also cause problems. Hope you succeed somehow

Any thread suggesting 2.1.6 is a very old thread. 2.4.5 is the version you would want to revert to. I can't think of any other issues that would be causing this other than that.
