Dear PDX, i know you dont prioritize apple users much and i get that but it'd be really nice if the current gen titles went apple native eventually. ive got an old-ish pc at this point and it'd be really nice if my beloved map games ran well on my mbp14 at least.

The Victoria 3 devs have said they'll look into a native Apple Silicon version at some point.

I doubt very much any old game will get one, the ROI would just not be there.

that's great to hear, especially since Victoria and ck3 are the most problematic titles for me. Please excuse my ignorance but i was under the impression that since all the pdx titles use the clausewitz engine the compatibility could be implemented on the engine level thus extending to all games at once. I'd have thought that Mac players are particularly spending happy buying all the dlcs and games at release (like me) making the business proposition better for you (which i also understand all too well as a shareholder).

Lastly, if i may ask, are there plans to make the games run generally better in the late game?

A new version needs to be built for each hardware and OS platform the games run on; indeed for each sales platform as well! I suspect that's one reason for some games no longer doing a standalone Paradox edition.

That would need to be answered by each game's development team.

While they all use the same engine, each game is based on a specific engine version which they forked at the time of development.

In theory, it should be "easier" on the newer games as the engine was broken down into smaller modules with different roles which can be updated independently.

(Not a definite answer as it's been some time since the last engine news we had.)
