Just bought the game and every time I try to open it I get this error Application Error 0xc0000005 and the game closes. I have re installed and still doesn't work.

I am running windows 7 64 bit, 8 gb ram.
 
try reinstalling directX 9.0c and the c++ redistributables directly from microsoft.
btw, "I am running windows 7 64 bit, 8 gb ram" is a completely useless information. if you want to give informations about your system post a dxdiag.
