Summary

Appointed Regent of same tier after succession and staying after dying

Description

I was playing as the holy roman emperor, vassalized the pope and made him my appointed regent. Upon succession I only had daughters causing me to lose the emperorship due to the HRE's male only law, reducing me to the archduchy of austria (king tier title). Now king tier, looking at my appointed regent the pope still held the position (same tier) I could still not appoint a new regent as I too recently made the pope my regent (as emperor), some time passes and with regent appointment still cooling down the pope dies but he doesn't stop being my regent. I can now replace the ex-pope as my regent but I believe he will stay indefinetely unless I replace him.

Steps to reproduce

1. Appoint a king tier (theocratic?) regent as emperor.
2. Lose emperor title down to king tier through succession.
3. Have the appointed regent die.

For Daughters, there is an solution against it, because the game limits your child based on how many living childs you have and only a higher tier and being Ruler gives you more childs, so if you want a Son, you have to execute your Daughters, so they are no longer living and no longer counts towards your Living Child Limit.

And the good thing for any elective law is, you can elect any Dynasty Member as your Heir, so there was no Reason for you to lost your Title.
(But in most of the Time Elective Succession Laws are buggy and should be removed from the Title, as soon as possible).
