Still don't get piety for creating them. Sup?
But you get the usual BB reduction, which you don't get for creating a bishopric. However, when you revoke any title from an (arch)bishop it costs you BB+piety.

If you would get even more piety from giving land to existing bishoprics, that would make theocracy-exploit even more horrid.

Not to mention that I guess it's not the easiest thing to program so that grant title to existing vassal option would give piety boost if the receiver is bishopric.

There is very little incentive to create archbishoprics. The reason is there is no piety bonus to counter balance the fact that the player is creating a more tempermental vassal (if you're piety is low) with control over multiple provinces. Don't give piety for giving additional land to bishops (if difficult to program) but it should if possible be given for the granting of an archduke title.

There is all incentive to create archbishoprics:

1) If your piety is on positive, they are more loyal than seculars
2) They don't get inherited away by semi-salic law
3) You still get the badboy reduction from giving the duke title, so in that respect it's just as good as secular
4) If archbishop is powerful enough, he has easier time being elected pope, leading you getting his titles to give them out again -> more bb reduction

So archbishopric creation doesn't need extra piety, unless bishoprics are seriosly tweaked.

You get the bb reduction for each title but the first one, not just the Duke title.

Let me add:
5) They don't create sub vassals and hence are easier to mobilize in times of war.

They are also the worst of the worst. They don't breed, so you never see a bishop or archbishop with a 15 stewardship, so guess what, their armies suck......

I take anytime a loyal vassal with a decent army anytime instead of an unloyal vassal with an excellent army :)
