In all my hours of BATTLETECH, I don't recall this ever occurring.

Anyone catch when the servers went down?

@HBS_CaptKerberos, @HBS_RedMenace, @HBS_Eck any thoughts?

Likely duration?

#soul_searing_sigh ...any chance this means Update 1.9 might include Multiplayer Stability Improvements?

I just tested and it worked, although I'm in an ideal location for a connection. Can you provide logs?
That was a very timely response. Thank you; and thank you @HBS_Eck.

BATTLETECH Multiplayer is back up and running now, I was just popping back here to update the thread.

I’ve not had a match since the servers went down so I’ll pull the logs... I don’t see a bug here so won’t submit a bug report. Instead I’ll just append them here.

On a lark, I dropped @bloodydoves new Clan Beta Mod into the BATTLETECH Mod folder alongside the game’s sample Mod.

With a simple Client restart I arrived to the following screen:

And now took it a step further and opened a match in the Multiplayer Lobby.

Anyone out there with the Beta and hankering to give Multiplayer a go?

Thanks for following up!
I am trying to determine if the integrated Modloader can load and run the very extensive Beta of @bloodydoves Clan Mod.

It loaded up like a dream and I’ve made it to the Muktiplayer Lobby... but I may need to wait on the morrow before I can test it’s Multiplayer functionality.

Thanks again for the quick response. #HBSquality

The BATTLETECH Integrated Modloader proved to be... problematic.

While I would VASTLY prefer to use the BATTLETECH Modloader (it would make it so amazingly simple for gamers-new-to-BATTLETECH as well as us old curmudgeonly folks to use in a post-1.9 world, I am moving on to ModTek now.

I’ve got ModTek up and running, thanks solely to the MadSkillz of Good @Martenzo!

Thank you Good Sir.

And thanks to your efforts I was able to take the Following Star:

Against this Company-minus:

I’ll need to get more creative next time as I still outspent the AI 2 to 1 in Cbills though!

Maybe I’ll simply take 3-points of a Star against 8 IS BattleMechs. Hmm...

@AndrewT, were the servers offline at/about the time of the OP above (approximately 5am Sunday in Stockholm?)

I could not recreate this one and even now, the servers being offline do not strike me as a bug.

Personally I caught myself on the very cutting edge of being hopeful some code or server hardware was being changed out in pursuit of greater MP stability.

MP stability being a problem that our Community has become numb to ever since BATTLETECH Multiplayer Beta was launched back in AUG 2017. In some important ways and as the code has become... more involved (biomes more demanding, features more plentiful, etc) BATTLETECH Multiplayer Stability has actually declined since those heady and final days of 2017.

And that is quite in keeping to with there being so very much more to the game that it further strained MP Stability just those few percentage points more.

I say all this having played mostly Multiplayer during my 1700-hours of BATTLETECH’s Beta and we’ll more than 5000-hours of BATTLETECH since Launch.

One develops an affinity for ones game-of-choice with that many hours in the saddle, as I am sure you yourself may be able to attest,

TL;DR - Servers being down for maintenance is completely normal. Servers being down for a hardware and/or software upgrade is similarly normal. Might one of these be what occurred on Saturday near 11pm EST, which would have made it nearly 5am Sunday in Stockholm or 8pm in Seattle?

I work from home in Sydney Australia and have no knowledge of what happens in the Stockholm or Seattle offices, I'm sorry! What I can say is I saw no other reports if that problem here or in our ticket system.

The HBS folks who responded above would have to update you on that.

Thank you Good Sir. The matter is resolved as far as I am concerned. I’ll be on the lookout for any repeat, but I doubt it’ll be an issue. Thanks again,
