@AndrewT, were the servers offline at/about the time of the OP above (approximately 5am Sunday in Stockholm?)
I could not recreate this one and even now, the servers being offline do not strike me as a bug.
Personally I caught myself on the very cutting edge of being hopeful some code or server hardware was being changed out in pursuit of greater MP stability.
MP stability being a problem that our Community has become numb to ever since BATTLETECH Multiplayer Beta was launched back in AUG 2017. In some important ways and as the code has become... more involved (biomes more demanding, features more plentiful, etc) BATTLETECH Multiplayer Stability has actually declined since those heady and final days of 2017.
And that is quite in keeping to with there being so very much more to the game that it further strained MP Stability just those few percentage points more.
I say all this having played mostly Multiplayer during my 1700-hours of BATTLETECH’s Beta and we’ll more than 5000-hours of BATTLETECH since Launch.
One develops an affinity for ones game-of-choice with that many hours in the saddle, as I am sure you yourself may be able to attest,
TL;DR - Servers being down for maintenance is completely normal. Servers being down for a hardware and/or software upgrade is similarly normal. Might one of these be what occurred on Saturday near 11pm EST, which would have made it nearly 5am Sunday in Stockholm or 8pm in Seattle?
