I have been playing HOI3 for about three week and from reading the threads on the forums got convinced to buy HOI2 and the expansions. I now have both Arma and AoD, and have added IC to both (having made a copy of the Arma and AoD folder, of course).

So now the question is: what do you all recommend? Arma+IC or AoD+IC? I'd like reasons behind your preferences, but a simple vote would be nice too.

Hi

I prefer arma because we added internal changes in AI

Yes, you can install IC in DH. Disadvantages: you don't have arma-ic new features (hq system, ports blockage, supply system, faster engine,...)

It seems Im the only one who preferes IC over AoD. First reason is resolution, I dont know how you guys, but I cant get higher resolution in Arma, I have to play in ancient resolution 1028*768 otherwise the game crashes.

Second reason are more polished game mechanics in AOD. I mean supply and logistic system are both more realistic and enjoyable than in Arma. Advanced sliders and more depth to economy are also superb to Arma. I also like a lot features like Support defence mission or scorched earth. Losses statistics gives to the game more flavour. So Im not sure if Arma has more features. I would say its the opposite.

Cant speak about AI, didnt play Arma version enough, but on first look (Poland campaign) it seems to be about same. AI in AOD is doing actually well if you gave it a chance. Has Arma players experienced (while playing Axis country) US troops sitting with tons of divisions in N. Africa and doing nothing or it was changed?

i agree about AOD, it's really great, but there is a problem.Too slow to play. I play over DH.It's stable and realy fast, i can change resolution and AI is not so stupid. But i really miss IC over AOD and some features of this game.

OK if you play with Germany, but the tech tree is still like on beta imo.
You can't have medics as research field and only 2-3 countries having a team specializing on this field.
Same goes with all these red/blue techs requiered for marines and stuff.
Minors will research almost nothing, so in long term it is not playable.
