I've always been curious, are there any practical size limits on how many divisions you can have in an army? (I.E. if having too many divisions in a single army will cripple their fighting ability or something). I always lump my land divisions into groups of 3 and my naval flotillas into groups of 10 or so just to be on the safe side, but it'd be nice to know if the option to create a super-sized army is practical.

I regularly use armies of 9 or 10 to attack or defend against opposing stacks, and haven't noticed any reduction in fighting ability. However, there appears to be a level above which your stacks suffer higher attrition (when attacking). 1 stack of 10 is ok, 2 stacks of 10 are ok, but using more than that seems to sometimes cause higher attrition. It might have something to do with the Life Rating of the province. I've never seen my troops suffer attrition when defending, even when using 40 or 50 divisions. There might be a limit on defensive troops, I just haven't seen it.

I wonder the same thing. I dont know what I did wrong in the politics, but its 1905 and my splendid german navy is getting shattered by the britts.

It's not that I dont have enough of dreadnoughts, I do, but when I group them together in 10 units, they are only fighting at 80% efficiency - while the britts can have 20+ ships and still get 100% fighting efficiency.

Its crazy.
What to do?
Mix dreadnoughts and cruisers or something like in Hoi2?
