Some of these events dont fit the general order of things in the Interegnum world...

The problem with these events, as with all events in the AGCEEP is that they are often quite specific to the history of the RW, not the history of the Interregnum world.

If someone wants to play Atjeh with these events, they already can, they play AGCEEP. So simply transferring them into Interregnum doesn't seem to me to be adding to the EU2 gaming experience.

I don't personally want Interregnum to be a set of RW events with the names changed to protect the innocent. :)

Of course, many events eventually become generic-seeming when you have enough of them (dynastic changes, army reforms etc) but those here are a lot more specific.

i desagree; why?

for anyone that is deeply familir with the mod you have created you are right on the money with your logic; however try to se this as a someone that just discovered the mod, has no idea and is excited to try it out.....the regular joe that is looking for something chalanging and "historic"( even alternate history) but at the same time entretaining; would i bet that he would like to see as many various and exciting ideas implemented all around the map?

my understanding is that this mod was started with the hope of bringing to "life" ,many if not all, those "minors" that do NOT have generally have a future a puerlly historical mode; based on this idea i prupose getting events from other mods with regards ONLY to those "minors";

by definition an alternate history starts from THE history no? i think europe in general has the framework well done for beeing "alternate" already, even if it is not complete; that lacks on the outrims no?

also for example:bringing the hisoric war sequence between ethiopia and adal would look anyway as an "alternate" option to anyone who has never seen it/heard of ;) do not you think so?lets go further and tie those to possiblw mameluks nd calphate interferience and battle over?

as a "hardcore" fun of ANTHING regarding eu2 mods ( i keep hearing eu3 is a dissipoiment with regards to ANY events....) i must say that the only thing that makes the simlation ever changing are those various directions ever taken; never the same; however you hve must known that without events there is a complete "dull" 18th century simulation.

i thinkthe most important thought regarding those events is that becouse people DO NOT HAVE TIME to make new ones etc. i mean i can compleaty see that a "creator(S)" of the mod would naturally like to keep be original(self fulfilling); however , in my opinion, importing other ideas from other "originalities" can only enrich THE eu2 experience; :)

You do raise some good points, and I would be VERY VERY HAPPY to see Asia rebuilt in an alternate history mode.

However, I don't see from these events how Atjeh would be demonstrably different, as in more potent, than in the RW. One religious event and some dynastic events, but these don't really do anything to turn Atjeh from a minor to one of history's winners.

Would someone read the event file for Atjeh containing these events and get excited about playing it? I doubt it.

And for first time players of Interregnum there are a LOT of options already. Around thirty countries of various sizes with interesting histories and starting positions. That's pretty good, I think.

Time is important, and so is quality. I would personally rather continue to build quality into the Europe/Mid-East region than begin building Asia. You yourself have pointed out that most countries have little to offer after 1600, and some have even less detailing than that. So, with the little time I have available, I will work on my already-long list of things to attend to.

However, I am not the boss of the mod, just the guy who gets almost all the work done. :cool: If you recode these events and built alternate monarch and leader files, I will add them to Interregnum happily.
