ATTRITION in own Province seems unreal? (DV Edition)
(DV Edition) I get a 16.5 attrition reduction modifier for being in my own Liege's province from his own troups. That doesn't make sense and when I move into the sea it goes down to 1.0???? I am playing Duke of Ostergotland and I've never seen this sort of attrition to ones own troups in ones on province where the troups were formed??? There's no sickness or disease in the province ither. It's the year 1076 thereabouts.
Now I just checked again by bringing out my army in the province again and it's 23.8 this time??? WTF is going on? When I moved him to Smaland he went to 22.5 something is haywire here.
I just checked one of my vassals below me in Smaland and his attrition factor is 15.8 wtf is this with such high attrition in ones own provinces??? Then when my liege arrived they both went to 22.5 attrition values. Hell my armies will be depleted before they ever leave their home provinces with this silliness.
Now I just got 600 free troups from an event and they are at 15.5 attrition from out of the Liege's main province of Ostergotland??? Futher progress of moving this unit around when it finally hits the sea it goes down to 1.0 am progressing to my other open province of Narva to see what the attrition value is there. When I reach Narva its attrition value goes to 26.4 arghhhh It's best to just hit the sea squares and ride around and just attack coastal provinces I could never make it inland very far with this kind of attrition.
Haha I think I just figured out what they did. THEY FIXED AN OLD BUG cause I used to could just set my local units outside in the province and they would gather ZERO attrition. This was how I kept my king from getting some of my best troups. BUT NOW NOW with DV I have to PAY to UPKEEP them in my OWN provinces. That sorta sucks. hehe But, I guess it's realistic, but, it sorta seems strange that you can keep an huge army inside your castle/province and they don't cost a dime, but, as soon as you release them in your OWN province they now cost a fortune. lol Live & Learn.
