Austrian Divs do not upgrade after Anschluss

Playing as Germany I fired the Anschluss manually as I got DOW's by Austria at about the historical timeframe of the Anschluss (guess my initial choice with Austrias integrity or independence was the wrong one?). Nevertheless I get their divs and everything else, CZE events fire regulary afterwards and so does the beginning of WW2.

I checked their INF DIVs and noticed they are of the 6 Btl. type whereas Germany has the 9 Btl. type. After I researched the '39 INF, time of truth came and voila, the Austrian Divs do not upgrade.

Is this intended or is this a problem due to the screwed up Anschluss event that I fired manually? If it is screwed, what do I need to change in the files to correct the issue?

from 0.3 the gained units from anschluss will be scripted I belive rather then the current system.

You're going to have to go into your Save Game file, mistmatz. What you need to do is locate each of the former Austrian divisions and change its model type to 6. On restarting you should find that they then present as 9 battalion 1935 infantry.

BTW the same goes with the Croatian divisions you inherit in the Create Croatia event.

Yes - we know about the Croatian units as well. Expect to see revised units in 0.3.

I have about the same problem. Difference is, that I have gotten three cavalry divisions from the Czech Republic. They are of the 1939 type. What value do I have to enter in order to upgrade them to 9 divisions?

Actually, they are already model 7. But in the game, they are displayed as six brigades divisions.

The "Cavalry" divisions you get from the annexation of Bohemia-Moravia are (in fact) "Light" divisions (ie, semi-armoured). If you are using counters, they may show up as "6 Bn" Divisions, but they aren't. They will upgrade quite correctly to later models of "Semi-Armoured Cavalry".
