Hi,

Playing as Austria in the 1615+ scenario. Had an error message, which allowed me to continue when selecting ignore.

'Attempting to create a leader with ID tag in use'

Do you want as a list of leaders I currently have? Or are you aware of this already?

There are a few problems in some of the mods like this, I think AGCEEP for one. Are you playing with a mod, or have you done any yourself?

It must have told you what the leader ID was. You can search the DB/Leaders dir for text files containing that string, you must have a duplicate in there somewhere.

There are none in the official scenarios, otherwise every user would be getting this all the time. So you must have installed a mod or done some editing somehow ...

1683 or thereabouts is when the Manchus annex China and then becomes China. This sometimes causes an ID conflict.

I haven't altered anything. Perhaps that Manchu / China event is the cause. There was no indication at the time of who the leader was.

Either way it doesn't screw up the game.

On another note I have had a war running for about 120 years..... Bavaria with a terrible BB rating, somehow got hold of plenty of Northern Italian provinces. The next war, half of Europe declared war on them, quickly conquering the Italian provinces. But they can't get access to Bavaria itself. They are all still at war as neither side will concede. How would I end this?

The only ways are 1/ play that game as one side or the other and make peace on their behalf, or 2/ edit the war out of the saved game file.
