I had successfully put HOI on my computer a long time ago, and when patch 1.06 came out i decided to do a total uninstall and reinstall it fresh since my files were full of crap. Well when i put the HOI cd in, autorun locks up and freezes, and i when i click the "install" button nothing happens because the autorun messed everything up. The program stops responding and I have to end task. The only way I can stop it all the error messages is to open back up the cd tray and everything is fine. The weird thing is, its only HOI's cd that is doing this, and its not damaged! I tested another game and the autorun ran fine. Any ideas?

When you put the cd in the drive, hold down the shift key, this will override the autorun feature, you must hold it down for a while, while the drive is initializing and checking the cd. then you can let go and try to install manually.

thanks

thanks for the help. I resolved the problem by getting into the explore cd option and finally clicking setup worked. But I will remember that shift key option in the future. Thanks for the help.
