Autosave file exists but not showing after PC accidentally shut down

Idk why, but all the other files showing up, only this very important one not showing up.
I am trying to finish the achievement it needs 250k population, this save get 238k is very close one, a 4 week work, it is really hard to get this much.
I use no mod

If you accidentally shut down your PC, then you will lose al of your previous session's progress and you can just load (continue) the previous session again. It shouldn't be too painful. In 10 years, I probably lost progress 100 times for one reason or another. At least my sessions only run 30 minutes to an hour.

But if it shutdown mid session, then the autosave file couldn't close properly, so it likely is gone now. Even if you found it, it would still be incomplete and not load as it didn't close the file properly.

Sorry there wasn't better news. but on the good side, it shouldn't take too long to catch back up again.
