I've been wanting to make a de jure duchy which straddles Venaissin and Viviers (province #222 & #223 and in vanilla part of Provence and Dauphine respectively). I'm completely new to modding, but am prepared to give it a go as I'm tired of my title being titular. Ideally I'd want there to be a condition of creating it being is_catholic and vassal to the Pope with a colour scheme of white.

Any pointers, tips and hints are most welcome. Ideally want to make necessary edits for the mod folder today/tonight!

I can hopefully help ya a bit. What you'll want to do is take whatever duchy those 2 are in, and do like a copy paste of that duchy and then only keep the 2 counties you want in the new duchy. in this new duchy, you want to add this: allow = { religion = catholic }

I'm not sure how to add being a vassal of the Papacy to it though. for color, use the line color = { 255 255 255 } ... also, make sure to add the new title to localization and add a flag for it (or all other flags will be off).

Thanks, I do appreciate this. I've raised this a few times here on Paradox Plaza as the Comtat Venaissin & Avignon Papacy is an area I feel is neglected in the vanilla timeline of CK2.

I wondered if the graphics used for the new custom duchy needed to follow certain rules? The design below is what I am favouring:
Avignon_coat_of_arms.png

It's a variation of the Venaissin theme but with a subtle twist which I felt in-keeping for my duchy. Would the above be suitable for such usage?

N. B. I've been promising readers an update to an Orsini AAR but disliked the titular title using a replica CoA design from the vanilla Venaissin.

Thanks again for your kind comments and hope after what you and @GodModder have suggested I can make the necessary tweaks to complete my Avignon AAR!
