I get 30 fps when zoomed in to my cities sometimes lower if my city is really large. 60 when zoomed out.

I run on windows 8.1

I have sli Gtx 770's 2gb (sli does not work, main card only runs at 50%)

Cpu is intel i-5 4670 with 3.4ghz can be clocked to 3.6 (however I only use around %70 of it's power)

Memory is 8gb's (50% usage)

so yea... I'm at a loss. I've done everything you can think of to fix it.

Game needs a patch asap

I get 30fps up close even lower on bigger cities 60fps if zoomed all the way out. Main preform ace impact is the level of detail option

Hi Mike,

Your system isn't much different than mine and my performance is quite nice. I have a 780Ti and an older I7. Where my system differs, however, is in the amount of RAM. I have a full 32GB of RAM in my system. Perhaps upgrading would be helpful. The RAM cost me about $300 USD for my older Intel motherboard.

Hope this helps.

Like the other guy said. I should say im not using all of my ram either. Thanks for you're help though c:

Does you box have nVidia's Optimus? Have you checked your nVidia control panel and made sure that the game uses your nVidia GPU? My machine (gaming laptop) has both Intel 4000 and nVidia GTX 675M and I had to manually set the game to use the nVidia GPU. I run pretty smooth.

Can you check this file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\devInfo.txt. It will show which GPU the game is actually using.

Good Luck!

Yup It's running my Gtx 770

I have a gtx 770 2gb, i7 4770k, and 8gb of ram and my game runs well, at worst it hits 35 fps if I put the camera close up in a spot with a ton of large buildings in view. I didn't notice it without fraps up.

Exactly the issue, I don't believe it should be lagging like that.

Even just semi close to the ground I dip to 50. For some reason the frame drops in this game are painful to me lol.

This wouldnt worry me. However My gpu(s) are hardly being used. I have more than enough gpu power to run this game, as im able to run much more demanding games at max 60fps.

How do you check the fps? Is there a built in fps counter or you guys using a third party tool?

Go to steam
Top left corner should be a tab labeled "steam"
Open it, go to settings
Go to the "in-game" tab on the left hand menu of the settings window
Third option down on the left should be an option labeled "in-game Fps counter"
Use the drop down menu of the option to select where you would like the fps counter to appear
(Make sure to restart your game if one is running)
Also comes with "high-contrast" color option

I'm going to be honest, you would know if you were losing frames.

Thanks. Found it. Unfortunate the steam overlay is bugged on the mac version. Only the main menu. But got it to work anyway.

What is weird is that my FPS doesn't seem to go over 24 fps. At lowest it is 24 and if inreasing to medium it is the same.

Was hoping to get better FPS but I guess my computer isn't the best one.

Sorry to hear it bud :c

Sounds like the problem I'm having. I have an i5-4690K, 8GB RAM, GTX960 and I get bad FPS. When I check MSI Afterburner. C:S is using 100% of my GPU and often Windows will ask me to close C:S to free up VRAM (BSOD follows soon after if I don't). Lowering Textures helps but it can randomly still break. My CPU and RAM aren't being maxed, it's just wrecking my GPU.
