It's a reference to Brandon the Shipwright who went missing after sailing into the Sunset Sea to find what's on the other side. His son, Brandon the Burner burned all the Stark ships in "revenge", and since then, the Starks never had a sizable navy since.

I'm 100% positive I don't have it on since I haven't even bought the dlc.

I can see the Sunset Invasion icon under your user name. You've bought it.

You probably bought the CK2 collection on steam and didn't realize that sunset invasion came with that. Is that correct?

So apperantly there's the sunset invasion thing even though I don't have the dlc installed.

You definitely have the dlc on, it does not trigger otherwise.

It's funny since the Aztec Stark would most likely be mixed blood as well he'd be like the Jon Snow of his part of the world (dynastically mixed with a dragon lineage, not a bastard lol). If they come in with dragons then that makes it even more similar since the 'Aztecs' would most likely have a powerful strain of people who can ride these dragons (aka their Valyrians) and I bet the Aztec Stark would be high enough in the societal chain to have some of that in his bloodline.

So who wins in a fight? The Dragon-Wolf or the Wolf of the Sunsets?

As a side note since I've never had the event happen, does the Aztec Stark have any interesting traits? If not they should totally be a mirror of Jon.

They get a lot of dragons if you have any but outside of being white while all the aztec get the aztec face and having the stark dynasty they don't have any special trait if memory serves well.

I can understand keeping him white to make sure people understand that they are a Stark from Westeros, but it wouldn't really make sense unless Brandon Stark left with a large enough population to keep to themselves and keep the same features without becoming insanely inbred. Maybe give him a more Mediterranean look to show the mixed blood?

In any case while it is just a little bit o' fun for the developers and I don't expect them to pour more time into it, they are a pretty good alternative "boss" event if the WWs never show up. I'll have to definitely check it out with my next playthrough (and probably get pissed when they kill us all XD)

It would be pretty cool to give the Aztec Stark a shadow-cat as an alternative to a direwolf as a pet-trait. Now I'm obsessed with the idea of the Sunset Starks...

To be fair, this is Game of Thrones, where the effects of inbreeding seem to either be all or nothing; either you are 100% fine, or you have a second head.

Hey sometimes theres benefits, Targs don't have a special ability to control dragons better than others for no reason.

1000 years of keeping the blood pure right there.
