Possible bugs in 1.03

Hi all, after having played for a year under 1.03 as King of England, I've noticed a couple of things which may be bugs or they may be working as designed, I'm not sure.

(1) The 'courtier movement' doesn't seem to be working properly so that husbands and wives can be in different courts (not an 'at start divorce' situation). My current count of Leicester is married to someone who's still holding the spymaster position in the court of Avranches  Maybe it's because of the office or the new migration away when she wasn't appointed in Leicester but wives shouldn't be moving.

(2) The 'papal controller' seems to have moved back to the 1.01 format. I had the Pope die and got control as England with no relation to the new Pope, the archbishop of Wielkopolska.

As an aside, the 'revoking titles' also seems to have reverted to 1.01 behaviour - the Duke of Norfolk is merrily playing around with revoking and giving out his four provinces he now controls. Seen Sweden and France in rebellion too.

I do like the new England set-up though, can we get rid of the 'placeholder' counts in Russia now too?

I've just noticed, others are having problems due to the installer, I'll do a 'clean' install and see if I still see this behaviour. If not, that may hopefully give some clues as to the files not being updated properly and the mods can close the thread :)

Please before reporting a bug,

- verify first that the bug doesn't exist already in the buglist OR in the forum (using the Search function).

- only report one bug by thread.

- Use a meaningful thread title (short summary)

- CTD bug needs to be reproducible, and a save available for the moderators to transmit to Paradox.

Thanks, :)

If she has no position, she will move to her husband court.

Sorry, I don't understand this.

With 1.03 the Duke of Apulia's wife is the spymaster for her nephew, the Count of Salerno. Can this be WAD?

When she get married, she should have moved to her husband court. Then if her husband migrate, but she is in position, she will be separated from her husband (at least that how I have understand it, so far).

Sigelgaita, wife of Robert Guiscard, starts the scenario as a courtier in Salerno, and is quickly appointed spymaster by the AI there. Therefore she does not even get the chance to move to her husband's court. This can't be WAD as she should probably start in Apulia in the first place. :)

That would be eventually a scenario start problem, but that would be WAD otherwise, because she is married already, and she gets appointed before she get a chance to migrate (migration is not immediate).

I reinstalled CK and then patched it to 1.03. It seems to be that the autosave CTD is back. Started the game and played one year and then CK crashes. :(
Try to play at slower speed...

And please DO NOT HIGHJACK bug thread... Only report one bug by thread.

Thanks,

Cat

Oh, I don't understand that list, far too much jargon.

Move this to general discussions then.
Bodders,

what I just ask you is to only report one bug by thread.

When people report bugs, they are added to the list, and to the bug tracking system. But if there is more than one bug by thread, we cannot identify easily which entry in the bug tracking system correspond to which thread in this forum. :(

As for the buglist, what do you mean by "far too much jargon" ? It's just a list of open bugs, with self-explanatory summary:

You open the thread, you use Ctrl+F (if using IE) to search for a couple of keywords related to your problem (here: "wife" or "husband" or "migrate"), and you verify that it has not been already entered.

Each time someone creates a duplicate of a bug, this means more work for us, the moderators of the beta forum.

I spend a lot of my free time on helping people with CK and reporting proper bug to Paradox, so that each patch they produce makes the game better. The only thing I ask people is to help me by not reporting duplicates so that I don't lose time. Is that so difficult to understand and appreciate ? :( :(
