In my recent game, I noticed that barony in Essos, which was a ruin, had married a living ai character...
Is that normal or a bug?
The bug thread was closed, so I have to ask here, sorry if that is a problem...

It's not a bug, per se. I think it's due to an event, that causes a ruin (or any incapable character, because ruins are set as "Incapable" in the game) to lose the "Incapable" trait, which then causes it to lose its regent and start behaving like an AI ruler, which includes marrying and all that kind of stuff.

That is, however, just a hypothesis on my part. The devs can and most likely will explain it better.

The genius loci of the ruins appeared to a woman, then spirited her off (literally) and married her. He dreamt of children to rebuild and repopulate the now desolate streets and lead the city to new greatness.

Can we have screenshots of them?

Sadly the spouse is now gone for the barony, don't know why... But this barony does look different from other ruins.
It currently has 38 courtiers - all females, and yes, one dragon too...

Barons automatically get married, we have maintenance events to get rid of the spouse but we can't stop them from auto-marrying

Really, they do? That means all the hundreds of times I've married off courtiers to keep those stray bloodlines alive was... Meaningless?

My life is a lie.
Every time I give a baron a title at the nightswatch they marry within like a week to a random courtier.
