Whenever I try and pull the CORE scenario into the editor, I get a message saying that "bases.inc" couldn't be loaded.

Thanks in advance.

That is probably because normally the editor allows you to modify things for a specific country and the bases.inc only gathers info of certain types and is not specific to one country. Vanilla HoI has the same problem I would think.

Nope, I can edit standard HoI2 with no problem, it's just that CORE fouls up for some reason.

Ya, I'll get it shortly. I just reinstalled the game and I need to re-DL C.O.R.E.. The main reason I'm doing this is that I'm attempting to start a mod of my own, based on the C.O.R.E. mod. I really love your work, but I want to alter the setting, some of the units, names, tech et cetera. And I want to be able to edit the EUGs in the nice GUI that is provided. Mostly because it lessens my chances of screwing up. I'm not certain what scripting language that this thing uses though, it looks like a Python that's been combined with PHP. It seems to read indentation and is white-space aware, but the IF/THEN as well as ELIF statements are weird.

At any rate, error will be posted shortly.

I found the issue. The GUI editor for HOI2 is looking in C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday\scenarios rather than trying to get the includes from C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday\mod-CORE2\scenarios\CORE_1936

By coppying the CORE scenario files into the main scenario directory, I think it will work, but the GUI editor still wouldn't work with tech trees and so forth. Drat. Well, it was worth a try. I guess I'll have to stick with the standard .txt editing.
