Game crashes on startup - access violation
Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Same issue as a shit load of other people. I tried all the stuff and the only thing that got me further was disabling my onboard video driver and forcing my computer to use my graphics card. I noted in the log it was using the intel HD renderer instead of my radeon as renderer. Once I disabled my intel, I got into the intro and sound but no vid. From all the comments I have read it looks like Battletech is using the onboard video over the graphics card somehow. The log shows direct 3D using intel HD 4400, but I have a Radeon HD8600M
Hopefully a fix comes out soon to allow a whole lot of people to play this game. Newer pc's with newer onboard video cards probably are not having an issue, just the older ones??
Steps to reproduce the issue
Same as everyone else. Try to open the game either via steam or straight, or as administrator. No cigar. Back to palying MWO I guess.
