Fantastic scenario guys, very interesting tactics must be used. I managed to beat the German fleet but sadly lost HMS Kent to a fire started by a Harpoon hit.
It doesn't; only surface ships are counted. It's easy to lose track of what goes down sometimes, and occasionally you also lose a ship to fire, which counts.Seems that, in my game at least, it counts subs sunk towards the goal of 5 surface combatants sunk.
I just played that mission, and I found it really fun. Was quite a shock to see those German subs have SAMs! I lost quite a few helicopters to them, and one to the Camcopter thing.
I didn't lose any ships, though HMS Kent was badly damaged by a single missile that managed to get though my defences. She survived though. And it took HMS Astute two volleys of torpedoes to kill the northern group.
But yeah, great scenario. I think it was quite well balanced too.

Maybe there should be a scenario about sneaking a prototype Russian submarine past the Americans patrols, past their sonar nets, and lay off their largest city, and listen to their rock and roll... while conducting missile drills.
