Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After playing through a mission, and hitting the continue on the 'mission complete' dialogue overlayed over the tactical map, the game goes to a black screen, and just stays there, rather than taking me back to the Argo. I still get the background music, and I still see a cursor. Just no interface.

This is happening with maybe 1 in 3 missions, and it only started in the last couple days. As far as I'm aware, the game hasn't undergone any update in that time.

Steps to reproduce the issue
Play a mission, and try to return to the Argo when it's done. Sometimes it'll work, and sometimes it goes to a black screen.

Attach DxDiag (PC), System Info log (Mac), or run sudo lshw -html > specs.html and uploaded specs.html (Linux)

Indeed, not since March 2020.


Counted 242 save slots
Not sure if this is related to your problem, but best to delete any saves you don't need, try to get below 100.


And you have a number of serious errors in the nVidia driver:
