One line summary of your issue
Crash to Desktop when running missions

What platform are you running the game on?

Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 10
Which version of the game are you running?
1.8.1 64 OR
What DLC do you have installed?
Flashpoint,
Urban Warfare,
Heavy Metal

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Sometimes, whenever I'm running a combat mission, the game will freeze and then crash to desktop. It isn't any kind of input on my part that seemingly causes this. I do notice that the sound appears to be disjointed and glitchy preceding this, often not matching what is onscreen. I'll get delayed comments from pilots out of turn, battle sounds appropriate for what has just happened. Things like that.

I've uninstalled and re-installed the game but the problem continues.
Have you tried verifying your files?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the issue
Always within a combat mission, usually toward the end of the mission. Doesn't always occur but it occurs over a variety of biomes and mission types.

Attach DxDiag (PC), System Info log (Mac), or run sudo lshw -html > specs.html and uploaded specs.html (Linux)

I'm not sure what this is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwolf\0.139.0.11\OWClient.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwolf\0.139.0.11\OWUtils.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwolf\0.139.0.11\OWExplorer.dll
But it sure shouldn't be in the game's crash stack! Can you unload that app and see if you still get this issue?

Also this is in there:
C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Engine\22.19.9.63\symamsi.dll
So add Battletech.exe to the Norton exceptions list.

And please update that nVidia driver:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Good luck with that!
