It seams that as the USA you get hit pretty hard with BB (around 40-45 points) when you destroy the CSA in one swoop (-> event triggered annexation).
In se this usually isn't a problem if and when you exit that war stronger than your neighbours. However, if this happens at a time when European powers managed to conquer lands near you (from the Mexican Wars) it may happen that they declare war on you since usually the European Powers intervening in Mexico are stronger than the US.
Anyway, I'm not complaining that the euros declare war on me: I should be prepared. What this is about is wether or not such a BB hit is logical? Maybe a lower BB hit, or none would bemore logical (no one recognised the CSA afterall).
