Hi,

I, King of Bohemia, was allied with King of France who first attacked Germany and asked me to help. Sure I went in and we kicked his butt, propably because his vassals didn't help him. Then King of France started having own problems with his vassals and he got into war against one of his counts and again asked for my help. Thought that single count doesn't matter much because we already easily won Germany.

Well I noticed one alliance that might cause problem but wanted to check what would happen because earlier today got into same situation and was not sure if I had accidentally clicked wrong answer when someone asked for help.

This rebellious count was allied with neighbouring count who was also vassal of France. So when I answered to call of my ally France I got into war against my ally France.

I am sure french king would say that we don't want to declare war on Bohemia because they agreed to send us help :p

this is because (different from EU2 or VIC ) CK doesn't count alliances in wars.
I mean it is not
(King A AND King B ) against ( Enemy X )
but
( King A against Enemy X ) AND ( King B against Enemy X )

in your game also happened that

( King A against Enemy X ) AND ( King B against Enemy X ) AND ( King B against Vassal V ) AND (King A against King B )

Yeah that is what it looks like.

Something should be done to that so could help ally in need without danger being dragged into war against them.

Or make map mode that would show who have somekind of relation to selected county. Same realm, allies, realms of allies, allies of everyone in realm, realms of allies of everyone in realm, allies of everyone in realms of allies of everyone in realm.

Now on I think I will save always when someone asks me to help them in war.

is already there: the mapmode with the little flag: selecting a country you got

dark green - direct demesme
green1 / green 2 - vassals and indirect vassals
blue- allied
ocre - claim
red - war

It is PARTLY there. You can see direct allies, but not their allies or lieges of allies they are going to bring in.

You declare war on someone who only has one ally. Ally has liege who declares war to help his vassal, then allies of liege attack you to help their ally, their lieges attack to help their vassals.

In my example county I attacked was in war against France and some of its vassals, but at same time allied with one of counties under Duke of Brittany who was vassal of France.

Question is how far in chain you really need to go to check all countries that can declare war on you if you go into war. But real point is that rulers should understand WHY you are declaring war or easily show enough information so you could prevent being dragged into war with your allies by answering yes to their request.
