I will beta test for China since it appears no one else has taken it yet. There several issues from the platinum issue involving China:

1) The most important I feel is that when the Japanese are defeated the event for the "Chinese Civil War Resumes" fires however Communist China is still in a military alliance with the Republic of China so the war never in fact happens. Even if it did happen however by this time the Republic of China has well over 100 divisions and IC and Communist China is no match for them.

The Northern territories are rarely if ever given to Communist China and even if they are they stand no chance because the RPC's army by this time is overwhelmingly huge. A good solution I think is that when the "United Front" events fire Communist China should annex Shanxi, while not historically accurate it would give the Communist Chinese some more divisions and would ensure that any push into Manchuria would mean the provinces are turned over to Communist China.

When the Japanese are pushed back into Manchuria another event could fire that build a line of forts (5 strength?) along the provinces Jinxi, Chifeng and Xilinhot and possibly putting 3-6 Garrison divisions in each province. This should ensure that the Chinese could never push into Manchuria and annex it, the provinces are without victory points. In turn when the Soviet Union declares war on Japan and Manchuria they would gain control of Manchuria which in turn would get handed over to Communist China. The forts could remain to ensure that the RPC could not easily overrun the Communist Chinese.

I am reading up on the Chinese Civil War and I think a large number of events could be added to ensure that this lasts from 1945-1949 with the end result of the Republic of China being isolated on Taiwan and Communist China in control of the mainland. I however have no idea how to make events :(

2) Another major problem I have noticed in WiF is that once and a while one of two things happen. Either the USA makes amphibious landings on the Chinese Coastline or the British manage to push into Indochina (I have seen Great Britain controlling from Shanghai to Saigon). While this never happens when a human is playing as China it happens frequently when playing any other nation.

I am not entirely sure how either could be prevented and I am looking for suggestions.

3) Does anyone else feel that China's IC level gets to high by 1945? My platinum China game has me at 149 base IC in Jan 1944 (That does include all of Manchuria).

As I have stated lots of time, WIF does not (and will not) support post WWII era. Sorry. I recommend Koenig's Iron Curtain's mod for a realistic chinese civil war.
I cannot prevent 2) from happening. I could write an event that makes China and Communist China join the Allies but then dozens of allied divisions would fight in China which would be both unhistorical and balance breaking. So I don't see what I can do here.

Would you be alright with the fort idea to prevent Manchuria from being annexed by Republic of China Fernando? That would at least ensure that the event that has the Soviet Union handing provinces over to Communist China would actually work.
