Just installed 1.03 A. Things have been moooostly running pretty well.

But this takes the cake.

I clicked over to the Bishopric of Orbetello, and notice the ruler is dead. I figure, hey, he must have just died, and is about to be replaced.

Nope. The Bishop is Stanislaw, no last name, 1030-1102. It is now the year of our lord 1127, meaning the good bishop has been dead for a quarter of a century without being replaced...

I went over to the "assassination" window and it seems like his entire court is dead too, or at least greyed out. Me'thinks this qualifies as a "serious" bug.

Irritatingly, the dead bishop refused my offer of vassalization. ;)

In a MP today the count of Baden died and his infant son inherited. The player of Baden however lost control of his county, but neither was he kicked out of the game. It appeared as if the old count wasn't "properly" dead. The player gained control of his county when another player assasinated the infant count, the next son inherited and the player of Baden gained again control of his county.

It seems like the problem is more widespread than I thought. The Pope's entire court is dead! As is the court of every bishop I can find! Something is seriously askew. This undead Catholicism is like some kind of cheap medieval horror flick. :D

maybe it's a global event involving some horrible curse on the church?
