I'm getting a very strange problem with the three paradox games that I own - EUII, HOI, and Vicky. In all three cases approximately 70% of the time when I fire up the game the screen goes blank and the game appears to freeze. Now for the weird part - If I ctrl + Alt + Del and bring up the task manager, do absolutely nothing, and then close it, the game will unfreeze and start normally except for a strange glitch - the top half of the screen blinks black when the game is initially loading (but not on the scenario loading screens later on). What makes the whole business even stranger is that this didn't start happening until a couple of months ago. Any ideas?
