  • Crusader Kings II
Hello. I just bought Crusder Kings II via Steam for my Macbook Pro Early 2011 (AMD Radeon HD 6750M)

When launching the game it just does not do its frames retraction so that the menu (New game, load game, settings, etc..) can be seen. Instead that frame stays there.

I realized that if I launch the game in windowed mode, I have to move/shake the main window of the game so that the frame retracts leaving the menu be seen.

What can I do? Is there anyone who experienced the same problem?..

Thanks..

I made a video of it and uploaded to youtube. You can check it out here:

We had some issues like that in the PC version, that were fixed in later video driver updates. As a Mac user that option is not open to you, and indeed your video card is below the spec required for the game- The published specs for the game are:
Mac said:
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 6750 / NVIDIA GeForce 320 / NVIDIA GeForce 9600 or higher
The 6750m obviously being less powerful than the required [desktop] 6750. That said I wouldn't necessarily have expected that to have had that effect. Odd.

You'd need to ask the place you bought it from about refunds. What I'd do is wait for the next patch and see if that helps.

Again, there is no mac model (macbook, macbook pro, macbook air, imac or mac pro) that comes with a non-mobile Radeon 6750 on board.

I'd like to hear from PI about this whole "your video card is sub-spec: we said 320, not 320m!" thing...

Latest patch fixed this for me (note that the patch available on gamersgate is actually 2 versions old, the proper patch is in the bug forum on this site)...

Hi. Me again. I searched but could not find the patch thread in the forum section you mentioned (bug forum of CK2) Is there a way someone can post a link to the thread? It'd be much appricieted. Thanks.

Check out the sticky threads in this very forum, there's one on GG patch links. That said, it really ought to be findable on the GG site itself.
