I can't seem to find an answer anywhere in the subforum for this. In Central Europe and England, all of the Coats of Arms seem to be black, as if they were missing a texture. Is there a DLC requirement for this game that I don't see?

If your having trouble with portraits, you need all the portrait DLC's to run LI+BLC. If it's black flags then you are having a memory issue and need to apply the fix on the first page of the mega thread.
sooo in my 1080 game the pictures suddenly being blank means i need the dlc to enjoy the mod?
"Pictures" is a worryingly wide-spectrum term. Do you mean portraits? If it's portraits, the same black portraits will have been as black in 1066 as in 1080
i mean the portait of the face is blank and when i click its black where the face should be and happens to every portait for people i click after that
You have a memory issue: apply the memory fix found in the original post of the megathread, as Hawkeye said :happy:
The 32-bit OS/4 GB RAM fix? When I try it, it says the boot configuration data store could not be opened, and that access is denied. However, I have a 64-bit OS and more than 4 GB of RAM anyway.
make sure you ran CMD as an Administrator (right-click it first then run as admin)
and even if you have a 64-bit OS and more than 4GB RAM, some configurations are for some reason still running into the VM ceiling of 2048, so just manually set it to 3072 (or even higher multiples of 512, since you have more than 4GB anyway - just leave at least 1GB free) to sidestep the issue.
additionally/alternatively, please delete your Documents and Settings/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/Lux Invicta/gfx/flags folder, to reset the cache just in case it's the cause of the error.
