Hello,
I have this rather odd issue. The Paradox launcher was working fine, untill I did a system update last night. With that I mean a general update using "sudo dnf update" (the equivalent of Ubuntu's sudo apt-get update) , not an update from Fedora 38 to 39. After that, attempting to launch Victoria 3 and Hearts of Iron 4 via the launcher, nets me this:
However the launcher itsself seem functional... I can stilll boot up the game by guessing where the start button is and click on it. My last mods sequence is also getting loaded in. And the games itself runs fine. This is the same for HoI 4.
But now I cannot change or add mods anymore because I cannot possibily guesstimate that.
This occurs both on Wayland and X11, that was my first guess. It also occurs both with Nvidia dGPU activated and deactivated, as I thought it could have been an Nvidia issue. I have a switch which allows me to completly disable the nVidia dGPU and use AMD integrated graphics, the results where the same.
System specs:
ASUS Zephyrus G14 Laptop
AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS
40GB Ram
AMD Vega iGPU + Nvidia RTX 2060 dGPU, Nvidia driver 545.29.06
Fedora 39
Steam RPM version (not Flatpak)
Any pointers in how I can solve this, preferably without reinstalling the games and mods completly would be greatly appreciated.
