We are looking for someone to work for us as a freelance scenario and event designer during April and May.

This work would be part-time (20hours/week), and you need to be able to do it from home.

This is for a not yet announced product.

Preferably a scandinavian, but anyone in EU is fine, but we will not hire anyone below eighteen. If you live close to or in Stockholm, its a great advantage.

Email johan@paradoxplaza.com with details and experiences.

Sure...sure...no one wants the Americans anymore...

Bored waiting on CK? Aw, C'mon J...

We are simply being enticed by the lovely CK diaries until we can finally sample that luscious game and slowly peel off the plastic ever so slowly; pause as I hover my finger over the CD tray open, then gently but firmly press. As I longingly look towards the ready tray begging for the CK game to insert, I gently tease it with just one edge then pull it back out....

Oh, sorry 'bout that.....hey maybe I am bored!

By the way, anyone got a cigarette? :p :D

Oh boy, why didn't this come up last semester, when I was a bored ERASMUS student in Växjö (SWDEN) with lots of time... :(

is this a boycott of american scenario developers thing johan?;) ;)
just messing with ya:p

Why not just approach those who have demonstrated an interest and ability to do scenario modifications in other games and offer them access to a hidden board where they can work together to research and create scenarios? Sign them to a strict non-disclosure agreement and promise them access to the beta when it becomes available and I bet you could get more accomplished for pretty much no cost and a lot less administrative overhead.

Now that, in fact is an interesting idea.

And make Snall, one of the oldest if more quiet members their overlord/taskmaster...no work..but he gets a beta too..Snall is God..use this as a mantra..

Aah, the word brings warmth to my cheeks. Back in Cambridge we were overrun by nubile Dutch girls in my final year under the flag of ERASMUS. It was cool.

Moreover, I know that teamwork is usually more effective. I for one is great at writing scenari, but I suck big time at scripting events. So I definitely could be of some help there, but not as a event-scripting guy.

Many people are just like me. So Johan, you might find it more fruitful to put up another ad asking for a team of, lets say, 5 scenarists and 5 scripters, working as jchastain said. :)

Cooperative projects have the tendency to evolve into endless discussions and only so few work being done eventually, not to mention that something like that would be thus voluntary and a lot of people tend to wander off after a short period of such work (I have some experience with that after having worked on the project in my sig for 3 months... It is hard to keep people motivated for longer than a week).
A single person can take much easier all responsibility (and blame) for such a project I guess as he is bounded by a contract (I assume) and is better motivated as he get paid (and in case the results aren`t there sued...)
Just my personal opinion though  (and I`m slightly biased probably...)

*puts together the facts*

- This request is posted on the CK forum.
- Preferrably, the freelancer should be from Scandinavia, or at least EU.

Is there a game in the pipe similar to CK for Scandinavia in the pipe (Svea Rike IV)? ;)

The time factor is against me, though, I cannot squeeze 20 extra hours into my week. :(

A related post is in the EU2 scenario forum
