Greetings!
I'm building a couple of cities simultaneously, and I'm trying to make cities that look as close to real cities as possible.
I use a shitload of assets, and so far it seems like most of what is published in the workshop will cover the needs for a "realistic", mostly european-styled city. There's a lot of city center buildings, a lot of low-density residential (for the suburbs) and a lot of big tower-block-styled tenements (for your dense council-house-styled suburbs).
I have discovered that there is two types of bulidings that I really need to make a city stand out, and those are virtually non-existent in the workshop.
1: Outer city-center residental.
This is the type of buildings that are considered to be in the city center (often w2w and cornered), but are a bit further out. These are typically constructed in the period 1920s-1950s, and mostly brick/concrete and 4-5 stories high. Check these examples from Copenhagen, Oslo, Malmö, Brest, Köln and Amsterdam
This building has already been made, and could work as one of those buildings if placed in a row, but unfortunately, it's situated with the wrong side towards the road.
2. Industrial warehouses
In most countries, factories are huge buildings and complexes spanning huge areas of land. Most industrial buildings in cities today, are large warehouse-looking bulidings. Like this and this. Making industrial areas would be alot easier with this kind of buildings.
Is there anybody around here that could make something like this? I'm trying to learn 3DS Max and Blender now, but it takes a looong time.
Cheers
