I bought this game being a fan of Paradox and Tropico 4.
But honestly where is the fun in this game?

I cant believe the same guys made this game that made the masterpiece Tropico 4.

You say you are a fan of Paradox but this post shows a clear lack of understanding of their publishing and development style.

Isn't Paradox just the publisher, with Haemimont being the developers? In either case, know what you're getting into first; it is ill advised to just buy based on a developer's name.

For example, Take Two publishes both Grand Theft Auto and Kerbal Space Program. I love the second, and GTA is rather popular. Am I going to buy GTA? No, because it's not my cup of tea.

I like the concept, but it sure feels like the release could've waited a month or two... even as a pdx game..

Yeah theres just, not enough to do or enough depth to the systems. Its a solid core but theonly things I havent sen now are some of the mysteries theres not much calling me back to slog though and get those. Not because its hard but because its a lot of rather samish solved problems and waiting.

The game is already fun as it is. True, once you checked all the milestones you're basically freestyling until the game buckled under the massive number of domes and colonists that you have. I hope in two months a new DLC to address end game will be out. If anything, some "cheat" buildings and "interesting" sponsors will be added on that DLC.

Honestly if they try to sell DLC before adressing how little actual content the game has at base? I'm out. Its starting to feel they were busyerhyping it up with youtube streamers than adding depth and complexity to the actuall systems.

Dude, the game is like, what, two weeks old?
The fact that they keep updating the game with fixes in in the mean time means they are already better than some of the developers out there. It's Haemimont, so I'm a little surprised that they update the game this much on less than a month. Maybe Paradox is kicking their behind for the updates.

They are. Its literally their business plan. Get game released with decent baseline and lots of ways to expand content. Do so over a long period of time selling DLC along the way. Every Paradox game I know of (except Tyranny, which I think undersold) has done this. Stellaris and Cities Skylines were on similar footing at release as well.

I don’t that they quite expected all the buzz. Upside the community itself has really come up with some great ideas plus bug zapping. Deff can’t wait to see this game a yr from now. A reason to go 1k sol other than F life
