Bought the DLC, still cannot play as republics.

Hey. So I've downloaded the newest version of the mod to realize I need the republic DLC to play as free cities. So I bought the DLC and it still doesn't allow me to play as them. Tried to reinstall the game and mod, still nothing. Any suggestions?
This made me very mad :angry:

EDIT: In the ingame store, the dlc seems to be active, weird. Can't play as republics even in vanilla CK2..

did you check too see if the dlc is activated in the CK2 launcher?

Yes, I did. I verified game cache on steam and it worked, pretty weird stuff.

Whenever I get a new DLC it doesn't work until I turn off all of them, launch the game that way, then quit again. I'm not sure what the problem is, but something is definitely broken with the DLC installation.
