Please, please, please give Britain her real arms (not just a shield-sized Union Jack :( ) for the Grand Unified Mod.

You can get information here:

Here.

Thanks,

loseth

There are lots of them already done :p

Then what do we use for the Royalists?

i suppose for the royalists we could use the arms of england closest to that time period which i think were quarter 2 scotland, quarter 3 ireland; and quarters 1 and 4 divided into four, france/england/england/france

besides, aren't the commonwealth/interregnum events supposed to happen before the shield set change?

That's a relief. :D I thought I was going to have to inform the Queen about this (possibly prompting a DOW on Sweden).

Thanks Bigger Jarl. They all look great. How come one of them isn't in the Grand Unified mod?

Glad you liked them. :)
Well, the first shield dates back to 12th century, so it wouldn't be accurate.
But it is also the lesser arms of England so it could be used.

The other two shields are used in the game, the second shield for England and the third for the Royalists.

I don't think I'd like to see the Three Lions incorporated into the EUII timeframe. For me, they are forever associated with William the Conqueror and the England football team. I think that shield should be saved for CK.

With the other two, though, I think that Britain is more deserving of genuine arms than the Royalists (who were never a country IRL). But, if nobody wants to deprive the Royalists of their current shield, why not do a slight variation for Britain (maybe using the British arms of the Hannover period, for example)?

I would like Violet(aka Stephanos or Iostephanos) idea, but maybe english quarter will not show well.

Sounds good to me. :) Anything is better than an oval-shaped Union Jack.

Ok, I redid all of the british shield sets so that they look a bit more coherent, hope they'll do...

Great work, Birger !! I was somewhat tired of seeing the Union Jack as a CoA for Great Britain, but as the Royalists had the "correct" CoA... Now it's much better. Thanks, Birger :)
