British Missions can not be completed if formed by a country that is not England

Description​

The British Missions “The Royal Marines” and “The Redcoats” introduced with Domination can not be completed if the country was not formed by England.


The requirements are to have enacted the royal marines government reform. To enact this reform your primary culture needs to be english or anglois.

The most prominent case where this is an issue is if you form GB as Scotland, which has scottish culture. But it affects all Countries that can form GB like Cornwall or Wales.

The requirements for the government reform should be “is in british culture group or is anglois.


This still does not account for the rare highlander culture GB if someone goes the route of The Iles > Scotland > GB or Isle of Mann > England > GB. But those are also not considered for something like the Anglican spawn event, the naval doctrine other reforms or basically any content of GB/Angevin Kingdom. For such unique cases i suggest a fall back for the missions.

If culture is not in british group or anglois then require to have enacted the Amphibious Specialization government reform.

Of course one could do a manual culture shift but i think that should not be required if one goes for normal nation formation decisions as mentioned above.

Steps to reproduce​

Form GB/Angevin Kingdom as a country that has not English as a primary culture.
