Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, hope I am.

Anyways my budget sometimes shows that I clearly have a surplus. However, I am losing money. I have exited the budget window multiple times to see if this fixes it and restarted the game but the problem is still there. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also I've installed the hotfix 6 by OHgamer.

I believe this is quite a common bug and occurs when a large amount of money is horded away - larger than what the game expected, or something? There have been threads mentioning it a fair few times, IIRC, and I think the points I mentioned came up as answers to them.

Try spending some of that cash to get it down, then save and reload (IIRC, this was the common suggestion with respects to this bug) ?

I have not seen this particular bug (that I remember). But, I do not hoard cash away.

I have seen the bug where you are suddenly making cash my the hundreds per day for no reason at all. I've seen this more than once, and by restarting from a save game, the cash-making bug has yet to reappear on its own, so the trigger is very random.

The lesson is one I've repeated often. Autosave should be on. I set it to the maximum autosave myself, I believe it's every 10 months if my memory serves. It usually doesn't.

If someone ever gets either of these bugs to be repeatable, then we may have an opportunity to do something about it. Maybe not from Paradox, but from one of the teams working with the source code. So far, I haven't heard of anyone being able to repeat these bugs. Restarting the game from an autosave will not repeat the problem. At least it doesn't for the one I've experienced.

Well, save-and-reload didn't help me. Anyone interested can repeat the money loss problem easily by downloading this save game. Throwing away a lot of money did help a bit, however.

I have to warn that the save game is originally a conversion from EU3 and manually edited. My Victoria is "vanilla revolutions", though.

I've located another cause : tariffs. When I set tariffs to zero, the daily change in my cash matches the daily balance in the budget window!

It would be very interesting to know, whether the budget window shows too much tariffs or some of the tariff incomes disappears in some erroneous formula before it reaches the national wallet.
