Missing messages after unification events

Playing with the 1.01 patch:

I my current Grand Campaign game as Prussia I chose to accept the Frankfurt Assembly proposal in 1849.

Unfortunately, after turning into Germany, I now notice that some messages are no longer displaying. Most messages, e.g. those about events, unit movements and rebellions are working fine, but others such as building completion, elections and - most annoyingly - research completion fail to appear, although they are set to do so in the Options menu.

I also seem to recall the same thing happening in an earlier game, when uniting Italy as Sardinia-Piedmonte, although I was a bit too busy getting beaten up by Austria to really notice it then.

Question - did you alter the standard message settings? I'm wondering if changing tag lost your custom message settings?

The exact same thing happened to me too. I was playing also with Prussia and turned Germany in that Frankfurt event.

Restarting the game helped though...

No, I'm using the standard settings.

Well if I remember correctly I didn't receive any messages about recearch or when an army had moved to other province.
Of course I had changed the standard settings, but I think research and military movement messages are set to pop-up in default settings, so it wasn't just a reset to default.

When I changed tag to GER in my AAR update (About to be posted), no messages pop up anymore, even if I mess around with the settings, putting them on dont pop and then back to pop. This is extremly annoying, as it makes it REAL hard to play without doing it extremly slow now.

As you see above it may reset if you save and reload. Logged
