I accedently traded too much iron ore for oil/rubber so I didnt have enough iron ore when the German shipping was due...
But to my surprise I ended up with -4417 iron ore.

Maybe this misstake should lead to punishment from the Germans if this happens?

Just a thought I got when it happend...

It flips back to zero at midnight so I don't think I could trigger any penalties for it. It's a mild abuse and I could easily code the events to check for sufficient stockpiles to stop it but it runs the risk of breaking the chain because one of the countries has only 7999 coal or steel instead of 8000. Unless there's a strong feeling that it should be changed then I'll probably leave it unchanged.

BTW, this is also true of other events that require supplies etc. For example running supplies very close to zero can allow a player to avoid some costs but the overall effect is relatively small.
