Played a mp game via LAN this weekend. Played as allied nations and shared tech frequently. At various times we would be unable to assign someone to a tech. After a little investigation we discovered the cause. We saved and reloaded and discovered that the tech could not be researched because the CLIENT was agead on time/date. While this was impossible, it happened. The actual time/date was running fine. I believe it may be a rounding issue with tech as after we loaded the save (in my case) I was only 99.8% done with the tech while prior to saving I had it completed. Also to note was that the sliders were off by extremely small amounts (0-0.05). This most likely has to do with the rounding issue as well. This was repeated throughtout the night. If a player does not discover this immediatly (by choosing the next step in that same tech tree) he will continue believing he has researched the tech and then later have the issue of not being able to select anyone for researching it, however now he will not have completed the previous tech at all when saved and reloaded.... he will have to re-research the tech he thought he had completed (because the host thought he canceled it at 99.X%).
I have dealt with this over the net in a 2-player game as well... but it only happened once or twice... while this weekend in the 4 player game it happened at least on 5 different occasions.
