[BUG] NO! Heir is of Different Religion Than Pirate, ALL PIRATE HOLDINGS DELETED!

Good evening.

Words cannot explain how ticked I am at this glitch. I spent thousands of pieces of Gold in upgrading my Pirate Dens, and what happens then? I lose them all because my heir, newly crowned, is Seven and not pirate?! What, does he tear them down when he comes into power? What if a pirate succeeds him? Do the dens come back? (That was rhetorical. They don't.)

My islands have become worthless, with every levy gone, every tower gone, literally thousands of pieces of Gold, all gone! We're talking seven hundred coins for a Tier Three Den, four hundred for a Tier Four...

All gone! Aside from cheat codes, is there a fix for this?!

There's no fix as only people of the pirate religion can own pirate dens. However for the next version the Stepstones all have basic basevalue buildings, so losing the dens will not reduce the islands to absolutely nothing.

Calm down, deep breaths, think about cute baby hedgehogs with their cute baby hedgehog eyes... looking at you... adorably.

So, from a roleplaying perspective? it makes complete sense... your heir, a devout follower of the faith, inherits land, land that is filled with pirates; and does what a devout follower should do, cleans the unholy mess of cutthorats and slaves...

From a gameplay perpective its the only way to stop non pirates to build pirate-buildings on their holdings; it works exactly like cultural buildings in vanilla (except, you know, more piratey)...

To fix it? do you have the save before your previous ruler died? if so, can you convert your heir? if not, can you change your heir to one with the pirate religion (if you have enough money for buildings you should have an assassination stockpile)? If both anwres are no, then you will need to cheat. A simple religion pirate charid should do the trick.

PS: as a rule of thumb: after a rage quit think of baby hedgehogs, cute and adorable and oh my god I would love to pet that without dying... and only then post a thread; posting right after a ragequit leaves the forum breaming with vitriol...

All right, I do feel better. If I get the Dens back, I'm fine. I'll have to use cheat codes, but it'll work out. Thank you for the advice. (I actually abolished slavery AS a pirate! No abolition required on my heir's part.)
