Bug with send adventuring?

I parked my heir in Odessos in thrace with my only legion and sent him adventuring. Then I clicked on him and hired him, which gave me command of my own legion (appearing as Thrakike Taxis) and in addition a mercenary stack in the middle of the germanic tribes. When I disband the mercenary stack, I also lose control of the legion again. Is this an expected interaction?

Probably not. I already asked myself how this feature would now work in the new world of levies/legions - and as your example shows it wasn't properly adjusted as it seems. One (esay) solution would be the character send on a adventure just the commanding position in the legion and simply becoming a merc captain (troops might be drawn out of the legion or created out of thin air, doesn't matter alot for my taste). This would solve your issue - you can hire him as merc and disbanding would be fine and not interfering with your legion.

The character should have eventually returned (there may be a small chance they don't) but the legion would likely be disbanded.
