I noticed a big bug in my game:
The Pope in my current game had following titles: Prince-Bishophric of Orvieto, Prince-Archbishophric of Spoleto, and Pope of course.
I fabricated claims on Orvieto with my Chancellor, attacked the Pope and got the county of Orvieto. After that the Pope lost all his titles except his Pope title.
So here is the problem: Because he is still the leader of the papacy he is the liege of the vassals of the papacy, but he is treated like a person without titles (I think that's because he owns no demesne), for example there are buttons in the diplomacy screen missing, like "declare war". So it's impossible to attack the remaining bishops of the papacy, because if I want to declare war on them, although I have a casus belli, I can't because they are not indepentend and I have to attack their liege. But I can't attack their liege, because I don't have the button to declare war on him. I even tried to end this situation by killing the pope, but after I assassinated him, his successor also just had the title of the papacy, so same situation as before.
