hello,

I just reinstalled CK + DV with patch 1.5 and I got that error after a while (year was 1083, playing with the Ivrea familly in the county of Besancon as I do love play the familly) :

Any idea of what might cause it?
 
Did you install DV and then the patch, I think the patch 1.5 is for CK, the latest patch for DV is 2.1 that may be your problem.

I installed CK, then patched with 1.5 then DV over the whole thing

Sorry for my confusing explanantion

Also it happend after 20 years or so of playing
 
Renaming the AVI folder helps with a crash on start.
The bug reported here is causes by something inside DV. Most of these can be resolved by installing the beta patch, but some people still get them.

If you have patched to the last 2.1 beta and still get crashes, report here.

okie I will do that, as I did NOT install the beta patch. So I will install it, and if it happen again I will report.

Thought I am a bit confuse about your answer as it did not happend (I have prcise it was during game play, not at start) at start.
