I really like city skylines, it have great potential.

But my OCD makes me not able to play the game enjoyable.
Since a big portion of the game is to lay out roads and creat intersections for highways... i often just give up when i think it is to much work to greate a symetrical and nice looking intersection....

Is there any tools/mods to help build good symetrical roads... make connections and intersections look better.

Ive seen some angle mods but they are not really what im looking for.
Rather something that allow to copy things from one side to another or predraw perfect curves etc.

I guess there are no mods for this.

it would be nice to have preset templates for oframp connections, just the first initial road from a highway and steep curve in different directions for example.
it would allow for a more symetrical build and less anger when trying to match things. also some way to match offramps on the same place on the opposit side of the highway/road.

There's a mod called 'Precision Engineering' that I highly recommend. It's a must-have and will help you tremendously. So much so that, once you get used to it, if you try to play without it you'll be surprised. You'll have forgotten that it wasn't part of the base game.

It's very helpful in making things symmetrical, or just clean-looking.

When dragging a road, holding CTRL will make it snap to angles in 5 degree increments. Holding ALT will enable snapping guidelines which is incredibly useful when trying to make a smooth curved road. And Holding SHIFT will display additional info, like the length of the road in meters rather than just units, the height if elevated, the distance from nearby roads. Very helpful.

Hope it helps.

Also, I forgot to mention, I highly recommend the terraform mod. It can be very helpful if your terrain is really uneven, and it will help you greatly if you're trying to place down a premade intersection from the workshop and keep getting 'slope too steep' messages. Just flatten the terrain and place down the intersection, no problem. It takes some practice and getting used to, but is very, very useful. The only drawback is that if you're not playing with unlimited money, it's pretty expensive to use.

A few other mods worth looking into:

Control Building Level-up

Force Level-up

Building Eyedropper Tool

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=438449058&searchtext=eyedropper

These mods help give you more control over the buildings that grow, so if you want to have twin buildings side by side or across the street, you can.
